Inspired by local history, Riverwalk strategically blends commercial and retail with residential in a 50-acre, mixed-use development that brings vitality to the Gateway City of Lawrence. The architecture, smart-city technology and eco-friendly features combined to create an urban innovation district, is home to a mix of commercial businesses, medical, educational, technology, restaurants and retail, plus 257 luxury market-rate apartments with top concierge-style amenities. This 4 million SF project provides direct access to public transportation and major highways in an area known for great culture, entertainment, and recreation.
Riverwalk is now breaking ground on one of the region’s most significant projects, The Pavilion will include a parking structure, office, and retail space and a regulation size turf football field on the top level. The adaptive reuse of mill buildings continues with the addition of 200 market-rate apartments enhanced with a promenade, café and work/share seating at 250 Merrimack Street.
