Patrick McMahon has twenty-three years of experience in the fields of economic and community development. In August of 2017, he became CEO of the Connecticut Main Street Center working to unleash the potential of Connecticut’s downtowns.
Patrick was the Director of Development in Suffield for 15 years working on community branding and marketing, community facilities planning, Town Center enhancements and economic development efforts around Bradley International Airport. Patrick also served part-time for 12 years as Economic Development Consultant to Windsor Locks. Downtown Windsor Locks was devastated by Urban Renewal which tore down the historic fiber of Main Street and Patrick worked to bring life back to it. He initiated a Main Street Master Planning Study which is resulting in the relocation of the train platform, a conversion of a 250k s.f. vacant mill building into 160 residential apartments and over $3M in streetscaping improvements.
Patrick is a Past President of the Connecticut Economic Development Association and was instrumental in securing the passage of Municipal Tax Increment Financing Legislation. Patrick also served on the Board of the Northeastern Economic Development Association (NEDA).
