    Danny Rudin

    KKR

    Daniel Rudin (New York) joined KKR in 2019 and is a member of the Real Estate equity team. Mr. Rudin oversees investment activity in the Northeast region, and assists with efforts in the life science sector, for the U.S. real estate funds. Prior to joining KKR, he spent ten years with Angelo Gordon in their real estate private equity group, overseeing acquisitions, asset management and disposition activities in the NY Metro region. Before that, Mr. Rudin held a position with Deutsche Bank in the RREEF Global Opportunities Fund. He graduated from University of Pennsylvania with an Interdisciplinary B.A. in Urban Studies and Real Estate. He also serves as part of KKR's Diversity & Inclusion Group, co-leading the supplier diversity program for the firm and its portfolio companies. Mr. Rudin is a co-founder of the Covenant House New York Real Estate Executive Sleepout, a cause that raises awareness for the existing homeless youth crisis across America. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, and sits on its New York Mixed Use Council, and is an active member of the Zell Lurie Real Estate Program through the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

    Sara Cassidy

    Director and Portfolio Manager, AEW Capital Management, L.P.

    Sara Cassidy is a Managing Director at AEW and Head of Portfolio Management for the firm’s Private Equity Group. In this capacity, she is responsible for the oversight of all portfolio management activities across funds and separate accounts. Ms. Cassidy is also a Senior Portfolio Manager for the firm’s open-end core property strategy, where she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the strategy's investments and operations as well as working closely with investor relations on marketing and providing support to investors. She is also a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. She co-chairs the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee and is also a member of AEW’s Talent Committee. Prior to joining AEW in 2018, Ms. Cassidy work with J.P. Morgan Asset Management since 2006, and she most recently held the title of Executive Director. In that role, she was responsible for the origination, structuring, negotiating and underwriting of investment transactions in the Northeast, focusing on acquiring core, value-add, and opportunistic real estate. Prior to J.P. Morgan, she was a vice president with Related Capital, where she was an acquisitions officer for the tax credit equity group and an associate with Joseph J. Blake and Associates, a commercial real estate appraisal firm. Ms. Cassidy holds a B.A. in finance from Boston College and serves as a council member for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and is a Management Committee member for ULI Boston, is a past President and current active member of NAIOP Massachusetts, and is an Advisory Board Member for The Boston College Real Estate Council.

    Samantha Hallowell

    Senior Managing Director, Newmark

    Samantha Hallowell is a Managing Director with Newmark’s Capital Markets Group, one of the nation’s most successful investment property sales teams, specializing in the underwriting and sale of investment-grade office, life science, industrial and mixed-use properties. Throughout the course of her career, Samantha has underwritten and closed over $20 billion of commercial real estate transactions in the Greater Boston/New England region. Recent notable transactions include 109 Brookline Street, Reservoir Woods East, Charles Park, One Upland Road, Two Dry Dock, 4 Burlington Woods and One Patriots Park among others. Samantha started her career on the suburban leasing team at Richards Barry Joyce and Partners in 2009, gaining extensive knowledge of the Greater Boston commercial markets that enabled her to transition to a career in capital markets, holding positions at both JLL and Cushman & Wakefield prior to joining NMRK.

    Carlos Ortea

    Director of Research, The Davis Companies

    As the Director of Research, Carlos works closely with the firm’s Acquisitions, Asset Management, and Development teams in creating and implementing research tactics and framing investment strategy. He plays a key role in informing the firm’s investment and development activities while also advising on the management for the company’s portfolio. Carlos has more than 10 years of experience in research and implementation roles, engaging in the investment decision-making process by developing data-driven schemes to guide targeted investment strategy, risk assessments and portfolio analysis for global equity funds. Prior to joining Davis, he served as Head of Real Estate Investment Research-Americas at Aberdeen Standard Investments in Boston. He previously worked as Vice President, Research for Bentall Kennedy in Boston, as Assistant Vice President, Investment Research for PGIM Real Estate in Madison, New Jersey, and as a Real Estate Economist at CoStar Portfolio Strategy in Boston. Carlos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, summa cum laude, from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in Economics from Boston University.
