Join us on April 1st to hear from Kirk Sykes, Accordia Partners, LLC., who will discuss Dorchester Bay City (“DBC”), a project that will both physically transform a key parcel adjacent to the UMass Boston campus and pioneer a new approach to maximizing economic benefits to both the region and residents of adjacent neighborhoods.

Spanning 34 acres, the DBC project has been designed to be a catalyst for the community by unlocking the potential of this pivotal through a vibrant innovation cluster. The program includes life science, R&D, flexible new commercial office, multifamily residential, and retail/restaurant uses totaling 5.9 msf of development with 20 acres of public open spaces with a rich public realm concept that will embrace the existing natural environment and the culture.  Through the transformation of two largely car-centric sites into a pedestrian and bike-friendly area, it is expected that the project will help reshape the neighborhood with improved circulation through new multi-modal connections to Boston, Dorchester, the surrounding communities, UMass Boston, the Boston Harbor, and the Harbor Walk.
