As managing partner, Richard G. Baumert is active in all aspects of residential development, with primary responsibility for development, design, programming, marketing, sales and operations.
Mr. Baumert joined the Millennium team in 2001. As project and asset manager, he led the hotel development efforts and spearheaded the return of the Ritz-Carlton to New York City. In 2003, Mr. Baumert oversaw all of Millennium's development interests in Miami, which included project management, operations, asset management, and sales and marketing for the residential real estate component of Millennium Partners' mixed-use Four Seasons Hotel & Tower.
In 2006, Mr. Baumert developed and led the highly successful sales, marketing and operations aspects of Millennium Tower San Francisco, a 419-unit luxury residential development in the heart of the city’s South of Market district. Mr. Baumert also led Millennium Partners in establishing relationships with key influencers and recognized groups in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, Taipei, and Hong Kong, enabling them to execute localized campaigns that raised the profile of Millennium Partners within Asia.
Since then, he has led the marketing, sales and operations efforts for many successful mixed-use residential projects, including Millennium Place, the fastest selling urban luxury property in modern Boston history; Millennium Tower Boston, the largest sellout in the history of the city; and the upcoming Winthrop Center, a public/private partnership that will lay the groundwork for a transformed Boston.
Prior to joining Millennium Partners, Mr. Baumert honed his hospitality skills as general manager of a historic hotel and conference center. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Buffalo State College and a Master of Arts degree from The Ohio State University.
