Winthrop Center, a 60-story, 691-foot mixed-use tower with 812,000 sq. ft. of Global Class A office space will be available at the end of 2022. Winthrop Center sets the new global standard by integrating health and wellness, productivity and social engagement, and technology and sustainability into its design. Upon completion, Winthrop Center will be the largest Passive House office building in the world.
Kathleen MacNeil is currently a principal at MP Boston, the local office of Millennium Partners, an urban real estate developer. Ms. MacNeil’s work primarily as real estate development manager has included several complex urban projects in Boston, including Winthrop Center, a 1.8 million square foot mixed used tower now under construction in downtown Boston as well as, the recently completed Millennium Tower. Ms. MacNeil is a LEED Accredited Professional. She has her Massachusetts Construction Supervisor’s License. She received a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from MIT Center for Real Estate and holds a bachelor’s degree from Wentworth in Architectural Engineering. She serves as on the advisory board for Historic Boston, Inc. a local preservation organization, as well as the board of directors for Friends of Post Office Square. She is an adjunct professor at Wentworth in the construction management department and serves as a University Trustee. She received the Boston Society of Architects Award of Excellence in 2016.
Reetika Vijay is the Managing Principal for IA Interior Architects’ Boston office. She was recently named Boston Real Estate Time’s 2019 Top 10 Most Influential Women and India New England’s Outstanding Women of 2020. She brings over 25 years of experience playing a leading role in strategic planning, managing, designing, administering, and negotiating a wide variety of project types. Reetika and her team are responsible for the design of millions of square feet of workplace that has impacted and improved thousands of lives. Reetika has been instrumental in developing IA’s philanthropic mission. She is the founder and executive sponsor of IAReach, a firmwide program that supports local and global charitable initiatives throughout IA’s global footprint. Reetika serves on the Advisory Board for Massachusetts Center for Prevention of Cruelty Against Children. Reetika also serves as executive sponsor to IA’s Digital Studio.
As managing partner, Richard G. Baumert is active in all aspects of residential development, with primary responsibility for development, design, programming, marketing, sales and operations. Mr. Baumert joined the Millennium team in 2001. As project and asset manager, he led the hotel development efforts and spearheaded the return of the Ritz-Carlton to New York City. In 2003, Mr. Baumert oversaw all of Millennium's development interests in Miami, which included project management, operations, asset management, and sales and marketing for the residential real estate component of Millennium Partners' mixed-use Four Seasons Hotel & Tower. In 2006, Mr. Baumert developed and led the highly successful sales, marketing and operations aspects of Millennium Tower San Francisco, a 419-unit luxury residential development in the heart of the city’s South of Market district. Mr. Baumert also led Millennium Partners in establishing relationships with key influencers and recognized groups in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, Taipei, and Hong Kong, enabling them to execute localized campaigns that raised the profile of Millennium Partners within Asia. Since then, he has led the marketing, sales and operations efforts for many successful mixed-use residential projects, including Millennium Place, the fastest selling urban luxury property in modern Boston history; Millennium Tower Boston, the largest sellout in the history of the city; and the upcoming Winthrop Center, a public/private partnership that will lay the groundwork for a transformed Boston. Prior to joining Millennium Partners, Mr. Baumert honed his hospitality skills as general manager of a historic hotel and conference center. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Buffalo State College and a Master of Arts degree from The Ohio State University.
