The Covid-19 pandemic is reshaping education, with many students, educators, and parents finding that “home base” also now must serve as a virtual office and classroom, sometimes simultaneously. This has exposed and often further exacerbated inequalities across communities. Never has it been clearer that the safety and efficacy of schools have ripple effects on the demands of office, retail, and other types of real estate -- as well as the economy at large.
