Emily Isenberg is a creative force in place-based work. As Founder & Creative Director of Isenberg Projects, she has led the creative vision and framed commitment to neighborhood scale since the firm’s inception. Emily’s dedication to connecting people to ideas and places has been a lifelong passion. She has always been inspired by the opportunity that lies in underutilized spaces – specifically, the potential to create meeting places that welcome belonging and connectivity. Throughout her decade plus career working in placemaking, contemporary art, and hospitality, Emily has found new ways to invite creative practice to have a seat at the table to help define the future of our cities.

Emily holds a BA in Marketing and Communications from Lesley University. She has served as a Fellow of the Startup Leadership Program, is a current contributor to Forbes magazine, and has served as a part-time contributor/teacher in classrooms at Boston University, Harvard University and Massachusetts College of Art and Design among others across Greater Boston.

Some of Isenberg Projects recent work includes revitalizing a gas station into a public gathering space in Fenway in collaboration with Samuels & Associates and connecting public art to the community in Allston/Brighton on behalf of Harvard University. In addition to hundreds of previous pop-ups and public art initiatives across Great Boston, Isenberg Projects has recently developed a public-realm programmatic strategy that will support connectivity and district-wide human connection as part of the 10 World Trade development.

ULI Boston/New England’s Young Leaders Group is thrilled to feature Emily Isenberg in The Making Connections series. These programs offer young professionals an exclusive opportunity to have an informal round-table discussion with an industry executive. This event is open to YLG and Student members only.
