USQ will house a new MBTA station and will significantly contribute to Somerville's exciting growth and the revitalization of Union Square, one of Somerville’s most historic commercial and cultural centers. Spanning 2.4 million square feet in total, USQ offers 1.4 million square feet of new biotech, lab and innovation space, 1,000 housing units, 140,000 square feet of retail, and 3.6 acres of vibrant new open spaces. USQ’s first project phase, a 194,000 RSF lab building and a 450-unit apartment building, started construction earlier this year, targeting delivery in late-2022.  A new Green Line MBTA station, Union Square Station, will open later this year, neighboring the project and providing key accessibility. Working together with the city and the community, USQ will help to restore Union Square as a regional employment district and will expand the Boston innovation ecosystem to make this great neighborhood even better.
