Keynote Address: 

Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley understands the role that government can play in helping to lift up our communities. Ayanna worked for 14 years as a senior aide to Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy II and later Senator John Kerry. In 2009, she won election to the Boston City Council, marking the first time a woman of color was elected to the Council in its 100-year history. On the Council, Ayanna worked in partnership with residents, advocates, and other elected leaders to address the challenges facing our communities. On November 6, 2018, Ayanna was elected to represents Massachusetts’ 7th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, making her the first woman of color to be elected to Congress from Massachusetts.


Innovation in the Capital Markets panel
Real estate capital markets is a highly competitive environment. What strategies are investors implementing to compete in Boston and nationally? The innovation in the capital markets panel will provide a diverse discussion of current and future trends in the equity and debt markets. The seasoned panelists will provide their perspective on topics such as cycle awareness, opportunity zones, crowdfunding and other capital innovations. As national investors, the panelists will also discuss investment outlooks in Boston relative to other markets across the country.

Major Tenants and Innovators panel
Major global companies are continuing to expand here and Boston’s start-up scene is rapidly growing. This panel will explore the major tenants and innovators, as well as the overall state of the Boston market, from the booming innovation clusters in Boston to the inner suburbs such as Somerville. Speakers will dig into the factors that are driving the market such as the growth of key and emerging industries and the impact of tenant-driven demand for space, talent, and location.
