NOAH: East Boston Flood Prevention Workshop
On Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19 NOAH will be hosting their East Boston Flood Prevention Design Workshop. The event we will bring East Boston’s diverse community together with design professionals to create a shared and inclusive community vision for protecting the community from sea level rise and coastal storm flooding. They will be building on the analysis, planning, and ideas for climate resilience in East Boston to develop design concepts that can be budgeted to protect and benefit the entire neighborhood. These community-designed solutions will be given to the city and state for development and implementation.
NOAH will be assembling design teams of East Boston residents and designers, engineers, planners, and advocates for a community design workshop to develop strategies for three focus areas covering all of East Boston. We are asking ULI members be a part of the design teams. If you are able to volunteer, please email Gretchen Schneider Rabinkin firstname.lastname@example.org and CC Eliza Daeschler email@example.com.
