ULI Boston/New England’s Young Leaders Group is thrilled to welcome Nick Iselin, General Manager of Development of Lendlease.

The Making Connections series offers young professionals an exclusive opportunity to have an informal, round-table discussion with an industry executive.

Nicholas Jay Iselin serves as General Manager for the Americas Development business. He is responsible for leading and growing Lendlease’s development business in the Boston market, pursuing and identifying development opportunities and large-scale urban regeneration projects throughout the greater New England area, as well as supporting Lendlease’s development efforts nationally.

Prior to joining Lendlease, Mr. Iselin’s 15+ years of senior managerial experience in the development industry included consulting assignments for the University of Massachusetts Building Authority and Massachusetts Convention Center Authority.  It also included executive roles at Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation and Twining Properties, where Mr. Iselin led the company’s operations and oversaw the design, entitlement and management of Boston area projects.

Mr. Iselin, an architect by training, received a Master in Architecture degree from Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude in Visual and Environmental Studies from Harvard College. His professional affiliations and associations include the Board of Governors of the Harvard Club of Boston (Immediate past president), Heading Home Inc. (Board of Directors, Emeritus and past president), A Better City, Urban Land Institute, North Bennet Street School (Board of Overseers) and NAIOP.

Lendlease is a leading international property and infrastructure company, headquartered in Australia, which operates in four major geographic regions including Australia, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.  Lendlease announced its mid-year results on December 31st, featuring a global development pipeline with an estimated end value of approximately US$44 Billion.

In Boston, Lendlease is developing Clippership Wharf, a development that will transform an underutilized section of the East Boston Waterfront that has been vacant for over 25 years into an active, publicly accessible extension of Maverick Square and the surrounding East Boston neighborhood. Clippership Wharf will be a predominantly residential project, featuring both apartments and condominiums, within four buildings comprised of 478 housing units on the upper floors, and a mix of residential, community, restaurant, and recreational uses at the ground level. In addition, the site will provide a truly unique urban environment, with an abundance of open space and a variety of opportunities for public gathering, recreation, and the ability to interact with the water’s edge through the reintroduction of a natural, living shoreline.
