Located on Summer Street across from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, the Omni will be the fourth-largest hotel in Boston and the largest in the Seaport District.
Omni Hotels & Resorts, owned by TRT Holdings, and New Boston Hospitality LLC, an entity comprised of The Davis Companies, Spot On Ventures, the Taylor Smith Group, Boston Urban Development and a group of local minority investors, have been designated by the Massachusetts Port Authority Board of Directors to develop this $550 million project.
The project’s design team is a joint venture of Boston-based Elkus Manfredi Architects and two minority-owned business enterprises, Moody Nolen and Stull and Lee. The construction management team is a 70/30 joint venture between John Moriarty & Associates and Janey Construction Management, a minority-owned business enterprise.
The Omni project is expected to create 1,100 construction jobs and 700 permanent jobs upon its completion in 2021.
