ULI Boston/New England has formed a partnership with The Trust for Public Land to launch the Climate-Smart Cities™ GIS mapping tool for private sector use.
The regional Climate Smart Cities™ tool uses climate research, computer-assisted mapping, and urban design to help the public, and now private sector, access a GIS mapping tool that visually assesses climate implications on real estate.
Through a partnership with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), Climate-Smart Cities™ initiative covers 14 cities and towns in the Metro Mayors Coalition. These communities include Boston, Braintree, Brookline, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Melrose, Medford, Newton, Quincy, Revere, Somerville, and Winthrop.
The tool will serve as a resource to ULI Boston/ New England members to guide possible resiliency interventions on site selection, future development projects as well as land acquisitions.
All ULI Boston Members can access the tool. See webinar recording and link the tool:
