Matt Pullen Named Chair of Boston/New England District Council

Matt Pullen, executive managing director at NKF Capital Markets, has been named Chair of the Boston/New England District Council of the Urban Land Institute. Pullen will assume his role in January, just three months after ULI will host its signature Fall Meeting in Boston. The event will bring 7,000 real estate professionals to the city from all over the world. NOAH East Boston Flood Prevention Workshop 

By Jordan Zimmermann and Philip Giffee East Boston’s Neighborhood of Affordable Housing (NOAH) continued its climate change initiative to tackle the impacts of issues of coastal flooding in a community workshop on May 18-19, 2018. The bilingual workshop kicked off with site tours of flood-prone areas of East Boston, led by youth. Teams for the workshop included community members, architects, landscape architects and civil engineers. Consider the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956. The infrastructure plan championed and executed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower built a 41,000-mile network of interstate highways that spanned the nation. It was the largest public works project in American history at the time and, without question, it did as much to reshape America as the transcontinental railroad had nearly a century earlier. One might also argue it was the last public infrastructure investment to create economic development opportunities for every American.
