Join us October 11 to learn about the City of Boston and the development community’s efforts to support the arts and reap the myriad benefits of places that inspire. Creative placemaking animates public and private spaces, rejuvenates structures and streetscapes, improves local business viability and public safety, and brings diverse people together. When artistic interventions make spaces more livable, they add value to real estate and help worker retention.

Join us to discuss the transition from arts centers or clusters of large arts and cultural institutions to contemporary creative placemaking that spans pop-ups, tactical urbanism, architecture, public spaces, and crosses into corporate America and the mindset of the real estate pro forma. Hear perspectives from ULI’s Creative Placemaking Fellow, the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture, and Federal Realty Investment Trust, developers of Assembly Row.

Panelists Include:
Christine Dunn, Principal, Sasaki
Julie Burros, Chief of Arts and Culture, City of Boston
Liz Ryan, Director of Leasing, Federal Realty Investment Trust
