121-seaportJoin us for the October Member Lunch and hear from Charley Leatherbee,  Executive Vice President and Regional Manager, about Skanska’s most recently leased development project 121 Seaport, a 400,000 square foot office building on Seaport Boulevard. Charley will discuss the history of the site, the development timeline and the project’s thoughtful design approach. He will also cover the project’s most recent milestone, becoming 100% leased prior to project completion.

Charley oversees the Boston Office for Skanska USA Commercial Development which has been developing over 1.5 million square feet since 2013 in greater Boston.  Charley is responsible for sourcing and managing new investment opportunities, as well as managing development projects in the greater Boston area.  He has a broad range of industry knowledge from his 18 years of experience in Boston including acquisitions, development, and construction management of mixed use, commercial, laboratory, and residential projects in the greater Boston area.

Prior to joining Skanska in 2012, Charley enjoyed a five year tenure as Vice President of Development for Commonwealth Ventures, LLC where he was responsible for securing entitlements and developing over 2 million square feet of mixed-use projects in the Seaport area of Boston.

Charley received a Masters of Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Trinity College. He is a member of the ULI Advisory Board, the Board of Directors of NAIOP Massachusetts, and a Board Member of A Better City.
