Walking Tour

ULI Boston/New England’s Young Leaders Group is hosting a North Station Walking Tour (open to all). The tour will cover a few of the recently completed, under construction, and planned developments in the area. We plan to discuss the rapidly evolving environment in the historic West End and around North Station and the TD Garden. This is one of the YLG’s signature events and we are sure our speakers and their projects will be both innovative and exciting.

Tour will begin at Avalon North Station, 1 Nashua Street, 2nd Floor

Avalon North Station

Avalon North Station is a newly opened 38-story mixed-use tower featuring 503 luxury apartment residences with studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom configurations.

Located on the site of the original Boston Garden, this vibrant new mixed-use development adjacent to the TD Garden will provide a new gateway into the city, anchor the neighborhood by defining a new center and make a notable addition to the Boston skyline. Rising from a lively podium containing premium entertainment venues, specialty retailers, high-concept dining and loft-style office space, three towers will redefine the city’s northern edge and add office, residential and hotel uses, resulting in a work/live/play “city within a city.” A multi-story steel-and-glass atrium reminiscent of the district’s original railways forms the project’s central “Hub” which creates a dynamic new public connection between the City and the entrance to North Station and the Garden.

 

The Beverly

The Beverly, a 14-story, 484,000 square foot mixed-use building will feature 239 top-quality, mixed-income apartment residences, a 220-room Courtyard Marriott hotel and 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. The Beverly will be Downtown Boston’s first 100% affordable and workforce housing development in over 25 years.

Lovejoy Wharf

Long abandoned, Lovejoy Wharf is undergoing a transformative development that will activate the space for years to come. The mixed-use development consists of two buildings.

Newly opened mixed-use building featuring 310 luxurious rental residential apartments, including 20 affordable units, and approximately 21,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space located steps to Downtown Boston, the North End and multiple transportation options.

 
Bulfinch Crossing
Bulfinch Crossing (Government Center Garage)

Bulfinch Crossing is a 2.9 million square foot multi-phased development project that will replace the existing above-grade concrete Government Center Garage with a pedestrian-friendly streetscape, a public plaza and six mixed-use buildings on two appropriately-scaled urban blocks spread across approximately 4.8 acres.
