February Member Lunch with Josh Wechter of Jamestown
We are excited to welcome Joshua Wechter, Managing Director and Co-Chief Investment Officer at Jamestown, a national real estate operator. Join us for lunch with Joshua and he will discuss Jamestown’s Innovation and Design Building (IDB), a 1.4 million square foot mixed-use complex located in the Innovation District in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood. The eight-story structure was constructed in 1918 and originally served as a waterside storehouse for the South Boston Army Base. Joshua will explain how Jamestown came to acquire the IDB and what they’ve done with it since.
Joshua Wechter is a Managing Director and the Co-Chief Investment Officer of Jamestown. He joined Jamestown in 2011 as Vice President of Acquisitions. He started his career at DivcoWest Properties in San Francisco as an Investment Analyst, and then moved to Starwood Capital’s acquisitions group on the East Coast, where he executed over $400 million in acquisitions. Mr. Wechter was responsible for sourcing and executing single-asset, corporate and development opportunities across all asset classes and geographies. He then moved to New York, joining Rubenstein Partners, where he was responsible for sourcing and executing office opportunities in the Northeast. Mr. Wechter is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. He graduated with a dual degree from the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in history.
